About the Artist

Hi, I'm Julia!

I have always been an overachiever with too many passions. I have been an entrepreneur since I was young and have always had a creative spirit. I graduated from Northwestern University with a B.A. in Psychology and English Literature, with a minor in Spanish. I have always loved animals and creative fields, so naturally I began to combine my passions of working with horses and photography. While I started my career doing mostly equine and pet photography, I later branched off of equine to also capture unforgettable milestones and timeless memories as a photograph weddings and whatever events call my name. My approach to weddings centers on capturing the day as it happens and allowing the natural flow of each wedding guide my photography, rather than treating the day as an eight hour wedding photoshoot.

I am always dedicated to delivering my clients the best results and quality print products. I am always further developing my skills and art as I aim to capture the beauty I see in the world and through my clients. I take the most pride in Fine Art equine portraiture where I strive to capture each individual horse in their best light and showcase their unique beauty and personalities. I am the only equine photographer in the Midwest who offers personalized equine jewelry for equine portrait and fine art sessions and such a large range of fine art equine photography. I also would say I specialize in difficult to work with horses and dogs, as I love a challenge to bring out the character of even the most anxious or timid creatures.
