Retouching Services
I offer a wide variety of retouching services, especially for equine photographers. Below are some of my most common types of retouching and examples of my work as well. Pricing is listed below but is subject to change based on your specific project. Please reach out and specify what type of retouching you are interested in, your business name (and social media if applicable), a time frame you are hoping to receive the finished result by, and any other relevant details.
A few FAQs:
Turnaround Time
Regular return time during a busy part of the year is 2-3 weeks; rush fees apply for under 1 week (additional if needed in 24-48 hours). Often turnaround is 1-2 weeks during slower seasons.
NO bulk discounts for deadlines under 1 week unless agreed upon prior. I take on limited retouching projects during my busier times in order to always return images within my regular return time.
Payment
For new clients, I require 50% paid up front before any editing takes place. For return clients, you can pay up until right before I return images. I accept Zelle, Venmo, or can invoice (credit/debit).
What files do I prefer to work with and what do you get back?
I prefer to work with Raw files with your edits (color corrections, basic cropping, etc.) or large JPEGs. I am willing to retouch smaller files, but you must understand that there is less I can do with them and less you and your client can as well.
I return large JPEGs and the Photoshop file if requested.
**For painted backgrounds, I do not provide the background layer if I am returning Photoshop files due to creating custom backgrounds I do not wish to be re-used.

Online Mentoring
I offer 1-on-1 online mentorships for photographers looking to brush up on editing techniques and learn from my process. I have been a professional photographer for years and while I am always learning and adapting my process as technologies develop or my style changes, I am happy to teach others how to do what I do. Through 1-on-1 mentoring via Zoom or Google Meet, I can help teach my techniques through explaining camera settings, offering posing advice, showing editing techniques, reviewing your work or techniques if desired, and even copyediting websites. I majored in English Literature and am always happy to use that skillset as well!
Mentorships can be whatever you wish them to be! While I would prefer to stay away from specific business, legal, or numbers related advice as there are others in the industry much more expert with those concepts, I am confident in my editing techniques and am confident in my photography skills.
Mentoring starts at $100/hour for general photography questions, posing advice, natural light photography, copy-editing/proofreading, simple retouching, and black background editing. Painted Background 1-on-1 guidance is $150/hour and will include a short presentation explaining how to photograph with the intent for painted backgrounds, how to select quality images, creating and finding ideal backgrounds, and a brief demonstration. I recommend you be familiar with Adobe Photoshop already and preferably an understanding of black background editing before learning to do painted backgrounds.
